Service Dog Information Directory

There was a lot of hours put into this directory. Most of

this information is public domain, however, some parts are

not public domain. Feel free to link to the service dog page

(http://home.att.net/~care4k9/Service), not this page, as the

service dog page has a counter and I would like to keep tract

of how many people view the direcotries.

Service Dog as defined here: A dog that assists a

person with a disability other than blindness or

deafness. Service dogs pick up dropped objects that

can not be reached, pull wheelchairs, help in

stability in walking and orientation. There are

several other duties that service dogs perform that

give independence to the disabled person.

Some of the following schools may no longer exist,

if you know that a school isn't in operation as a service

dog provider, please let me know. If you would like to

have your organization posted in this list, please e-mail

Christy Hill. All organization that want to be put on

this list, must be able to provide brochures, proof of

Non-profit status or business name (copy of your legal

document from your city or county) and describe what

services are provided. Each program will be evaluated

and placed on this list only under the discretion of the

committee.

This is a list for information purposes only, like your

phone directory. It is up to the individual to check

out the credentials and the reputation of the program.

Christy Hill does not endorse any of these programs

or trainers.

Also check the hearing dog directory, some of those

schools might be training service dogs.
